What I Should Be Doing

This is what I should be doing, But no, I came to work. I don't know if its just too soon or the doxycycline I took on an empty stomach but I feel like crap. I don't feel like yesterday's crap but today I just feel nausea. Can you feel sick from the progesterone? Then to top it off my DH tried to kill me with the needle this morning. The nurse showed him what to do but I think he was nervous. He took his sweet time inserting the needle. He was trying to ease it in but then took it back out and then wanted to try to put it back in. I had to stop him, change the needle and explain what dart-like motion was. We almost divorced this morning. I can't let that man anywhere near anymore needles. I'm not even sure he hit muscle. If it was a tv show I would have been laughing at our situation but I was in pain and had to leave for work. I either need to use an easier muscle or ask for the suppositories.

  1. You definitely should be at home resting today lady :) The procedure you had done yesterday is no walk in the park. On the progesterone shots, my husband once missed the mark and gave it to me in a nerve. I could barely walk for almost a week. My nurse was so sweet that she took a black marker and drew circles for him on my cheeks. Hopeful your husband just needed a day to get the dart like motion down :) Can't wait to hear how your embies are doing.

  2. Sorry you have to do the shots in the morning...our doctor recommends doing them at night so you aren't doing it in the middle of getting ready for the day. Maybe you can leave work early so you can go home and rest?

  4. Where do you have to insert the needle? That sounds like a pretty bad morning. Progesterone definitely made me feel nausea a lot (but I had the gel which I had to insert with an applicator each night). I hope you feel a bit better soon, and give your Hubby another try with the needle. We all have bad days :-(

    1. I have to insert the needle into muscle and they stated in the rear. Hubby did better today.

  5. Oh that sounds terrible! I'm lucky and got to use suppositories instead and never had an issue with P4 levels, so if you can, I would switch! Or maybe use your thigh instead of the butt and give it to yourself instead? I would have almost divorced my hubby for that too!

  7. I just woke my husband up by laughing at this...not at the pain, but at the thought of it. I won't let him anywhere near my needles! Luck to you!
